I created this my freshman year of highschool, and it was the real start of my desire to draw. I couldn’t capture everything I wanted to in this drawing, so I started taking art classes and doodling all over everything to create something that I actually thought was decent.

It was based off of the book Wizards at War by Diane Duane, who was, and still is, one of my favorite authors. I have, since then, been creating a series of sketches based off of the Tarot and the characters in her books.

I’ve since redrawn it and gotten… considerably better at drawing itself, but I still have this sketch in a box under my bed and use it to remind myself of stuff that I really really love from my childhood.

I will never be able to thank her enough for setting me down this path, and giving me something that I truly love more than anything else in my entire existence.

So thank you. I owe you one. And I also didn’t intend to break copyright. Just to pay homage to something I really really love.
